Epic John Fist Troll

My friend max from FloydFunctionsX and I awhile back came up with this fun idea to spark some soap opera type controversy between the character he plays he names John Fist and I. We are having a blast with this idea and will continue it as the initial feedback we got from this was amazing. I didn't realize I was such a good actor. Must have been all those years of playing poker lol. Some people are really taking this seriously and Max and I are just that sick and twisted to keep this up lol. The idea is to portray John Fist as delusional, mental, and on the edge of insanity as he becomes more twisted in his belief that he is a famous actor. I don't know what to expect from Max, if he's going to run with this, or come back at me with his own twist to "thraushtins" lol. Whatever happens, I anxiously await lol. The video is below, I shot this before my flip-cam went belly up ;)~

I'm not worried about posting this here as not many people follow my blog. But for those of you who know this is an epic troll... shhhh. 

Pieces of Her

I think one of the hardest things about being a widow is knowing that my children really never got to know Amy like I did. They were very young when she passed and although Zoe has some memory of Amy she really can't grasp on to much because she was 5 and my son was 2. Watching them grow up at such a crazy pace has me thinking on some mornings like this.... where does the time go?

It makes me realize how important it is to focus on the things that matter and let go of the things I can not change. I want her to know that our kids are awesome and that she's part of the reason why. I know there's really no way to make that happen and that gets to me. When I look at them I see pieces of her and that to me is how I get through sometimes.

What I'm thankful for.

I had a good time making this and it made me think pretty deep about everything up until this point.

I Love Weekend Warriors

About two months ago I became inspired in helping out the little guys of youtube who deserve more attention, but can't get it because of how the cards are stacked against them. What do I mean? Well YouTube tends to help those who make them money. What?! A corporation who wants to make money?! Absurd! lol. Yes in fact those who started out on YouTube many years ago had it the easiest as far as making it and being able to be found on search and now... well... lol Yea it's damn near impossible. So my idea to get those who need noticed... noticed? Stack the cards in our favor by raising the bar of likes on a weekly show I do called Weekend Warriors. Here's an epsiode you all can check out that I'm very proud of:

Why are likes and faves important? Because they rank you up on search. The big YouTubers out there employ dirty tactics by using bots to like their vids on top of the huge subscription base they have. Not us. We are doing this from the grass roots and succeeding. We started out getting 10-20 likes, then 30, and recently when I realized how important fav/liking was I really raised the bar. As of the last show I asked for fifty likes. We got those right away. This show I'm asking for 60 likes! I won't make future shows until that goal is reached. So essentially each show will become more popular because the amount of faves and likes will have a positive impact on search.

It's time we take YouTube back and stop the corruption. The Weekend Warrior army is growing and this has been one of the best experiences of my life. I love helping people and I love the fact that we are all working together as one!

Let's Get Real

Let's get real people. I've been on YouTube for awhile now and I truly love creating videos. But, I find it funny that some treat YouTube as this extension of high school. There are so many clicks on here and the association factor has so many levels to it that at times it makes me want to vomit lol. I am at the very least civil to anyone I meet on YouTube barring the schizophrenics and trolls.

However, despite my positive personality and my desire to help others out, I find it amazing that there are these levels of association that I can only parallel with the crap we all had to deal with in high school.

Mentalities I've come across you ask? Here's a few just for starters:
1. I'll talk to you, but not in front of others.
2. I like you today while your popular, tomorrow we'll see.
3. I'll help you, but only "this much" as I don't want to be seen helping you.
4. Your different so you must be uncool.

Oh and my personal favorite is when someone thinks they have you pegged on your personality type without even taking the time to know you simply by watching your videos lol. Frankly it all makes me sick to my stomach even thinking about it. For the most part, I do have to say I've made some amazing friends on here and am very thankful of it.

Yes, I'm older than the avg YouTuber. Yes, I can come off as cocky. Hell, I cuss on some videos and others are clean. I'm unpredictable and for the most part not a cookie cut person. You'll never be able to "expect" something from me because I'm always changing it up. I've shared very personal experiences with those who follow me such as the anniversary of my wife's death and family vlogs. At the same time I go nuts on a series I do called RanTz and I get all crazy on another series I do called Weekend Warriors. My point is... I'll always be me and I won't change me for anybody. I'm as real as they come and to those who haven't taken the time to get that, well as my friend Jocelyn says... "deuces".

Morning

Lazy gray saturday and I'm feelin great. Tons of support from my family, friends, and loved ones. Thought I'd do a BLOG VLOG since it's been awhile. I will be posting the first epsiode of many on a new series called Weekend Warriors you can check out on my YouTube channel. I really can't wait to help these people out and get them some well deserved traffic and exposure. I was happy with how the 1st one turned out and it will only get better. I like that it's a weekend show, it kind of reminds me of a radio program or saturday morning cartoons for some reason lol. Struggle is persistent and never ending. Since I was a kid I always believed in the philosophy of "We Are One". It's 3 little words that seem so easy to get, but in actuality it's a very hard concept to understand. That small phrase is written on the inside of my wedding band that I still keep with me after my wife passed of cancer 5 years ago. That small phrase is written on her gravestone and that small phrase means tons to me because it is the keystone of my belief system. I see others out there who also believe in this and it lifts my spirits up tremendously. Recently my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law got tattoos with that phrase on it and I was rather floored to see that. I remember Amy (my wife) and I talking about it in our youth and we had some crazy talks on it lol. I thought it only right to bring this concept home to others I see on YouTube who have no viewers/views on their great content. I see the game is corrupt and I want to become activist and help. This experience has been amazing for me... helping the lil guy is right up my alley and I will do all in my power to get these people noticed.

Been awhile. Apologies. I'm starting my march into world domination today. I had quite the revelation and being this is my blog I can go deeper into the details. I started thinking about the wheel; rudimentary, simplistic, and practical. A central hub with all spokes attached and jutting outwards while still connected. It does what it needs to do without having to be extravagant. It's a necessity. Lightning struck. I realized the path and I am now on it when it comes to my presence on the internet. You Matter

I think it's important for all of us to realize that every single voice matters. While creating this channel and the content for you can take a ton of my personal time I do it because I like to do it and see others get involved. I want to build a community of people together with like minds and share experiences with one another. It's so important that people become involved in the things they like so that the things learned or picked up along the way have a more meaningful impact. In this video I wanted to touch on how important it is for me that those who follow us and watch us become involved. I love watching our channel develop and love the vibe from the people in the community that we as a whole are creating. This video is for you. Thank you!

Awareness

I realize and am aware I have this posted on my facebook, but this is a very important video in my mind. What I've learned up until this point in my life is that we make our own complexities. We make our life what it is through our own perception of things. External and Internal forces constantly battle for the control of our mind. This video speaks of simplicity and really one should take life at it's simplest when it comes down to it. Some of the simplest lessons in life, like appreciating your surroundings/environment, go many times unnoticed by us. Take some time to be appreciative of just being. Simple lessons... why are they so damn hard sometimes? They don't have to be. Take back what's rightfully yours... your mind.

Yea we inherited a dog for the last three days called Einstein. Our neighbor went to audition for American Idol. She didn't make the cut. Sorry Erica. Her lil yap yap was a pain in the ass for the first day, but I put it on a surious regiment of get the F in line or else lol. It worked and now we are buds. I'm much more a dog guy than a cat guy. The new guy!

Most of you know who have been following me that I'm starting something completely new called Collabolution. It's my newest take on collaboration + evolution. The channel's concept is to bring together 15-20 interesting and entertaining youtubers and make it a channel of it's own; a one stop shop for all your needs if you will. Chip is a very funny kid I met on youtube from england. He's got this kind of Monty Python sense of humor and I think he makes a great addition to the team. Enjoy!

My typical day. Not so typical ;)

I love this site because I can talk a bit more about the stuff I create here. The following vlog was shot yesterday on one of those amazing sunset days. The sun was sinking, the sky was pink, the moon was opposite the sun. I saw the beauty and grabbed my cam. The next 2 hours of film was condensed into an amazing fun 6 minutes. The kids and I had a wonderful evening. I can't remember the last time I had such a fun relaxing time with them. Was awesome! Enjoy:

In Anticipation to an Answer

I recently posted a new vid here: The Answer to Everything

I had to write about this because while it has little to no views on the grand scale of where I have posted it, I know that it's making people stop and think wtf. Any time I can mind F you is a good time for me and while the video is intended to invoke reaction, it offers whatever answer you personally attach to it. The video itself is a mirror adopting the strategy of the socratic method. The range of responses on this from hatred, to acceptance, understanding, thoughtful insight, and in some cases bliss (lol) is exactly what I was looking for when this idea popped into my head. I hope you all dig it as I personally view it an "art piece".
